Neal Allar
Neal Allar specializes in modern French and francophone poetry and poetics, postcolonial theory, and literary theory. His current book project explores the relationship between the poetry of the French avant-garde and the francophone Caribbean, with particular reference to the Martinican writer Édouard Glissant. This project is part of a broader interest in how francophone poets and theorists prompt us to reread and restructure the modern French poetry canon. His articles have appeared in The Journal of French and Francophone Philosophy, Parade sauvage, and Nineteenth-Century French Studies.
