Tierra Bills is a transportation engineer, policy analyst, and data scientist. Her research interests are in travel behavior, choice analysis, and transportation equity. She received her PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering, focusing in Transportation Engineering, from the University of California Berkley in 2013. From January 2014 to June 2016, Tierra worked as a Research Scientist at IBM Research Africa, in Nairobi Kenya. Her current work centers on using new and innovative data sources to model and understand individual-level impacts/benefits from current and emerging transportation policies and systems, with respect to equity, environmental, and economic efficiency.
